| what can I do to increase my libido? I have been using your progesterone cream for about 4yrs, I had a partial hystorectomy, but I think my ovaries shut down after the surgery, I started going through severe mood swings, the cream has stopped that but I have no sex drive, I eat well, no sugar, no white flour, rice, bread, pasta, potatoes, we eat lot's of lean beef, ground turkey, and chicken, veggies and lot's of salads, we walk when the weather permits, I take a good liquid multi vitamin, omega III, calcium, and I just ordered your chlorella, and E3AFA, I cook with coconut oil and consume 2 tbsp daily, I don't know what else to do to help bring back my drive, can you HELP! |

You may want to look into DHEA which is a precursor to testosterone. However, first I would suggest that you test your hormone levels through saliva testing especially since you have been on natural progesterone for four years. We have the kits availabe at www.oasisadvancedwellness.com and at www.oasisserene.com
After a total hysterectomy (i.e., uterus and ovaries both removed), some women may have very low or almost undetectable levels of testosterone. Even those who keep their ovaries may suffer this outcome post-hysterectomy, as the surgery compromises ovarian circulation in over half the cases. Nearly one in four women who enter menopause as a result of surgery or medical treatment will experience the side effect of their ovaries losing normal function. This results in sexual issues for millions of women.
Stress is an enormous facter when it comes to a decrease in libido. Stress will divert your natural DHEA into cortisol instead of testosterone. A good B-Complex such as Max Stress B would be suggested to help with stress. Also finding ways in which to have at least 30 minutes of quiet time each day will help.
Diet also plays an important role. Your diet sounds very good. I would make sure that the meat you are eating is free-range (no feed) and organic. Grocery store meat (even lean meat)is usually full of hormones. Hydration is also important so make sure that you are drinking clean pure water and at least 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water.
Exercise is also an important factor. Rebounding (mini-tramp) or walking for 45 minutes daily will be very helpful to your body, mind and spirit.
Hang in there. Once you complete the saliva testing, you should have an idea of what needs to be focused on.
