Thank you so much! This is very helpful for me since im working as a nuclear nurse in our hospital. Im just 23 and single and I worry a lot about not getting pregnant after a few years or having a child with defects.

Right now i'm taking the following supplement to protect my body from radiation:

glutathione 100mg OD, l-cysteine 120mg OD, vitamin e 400 iu every other day, vitamin c 500mg OD, vitamin A 25, 000 iu but only once a week, Vitamin B1, B6 AND B12 OD.I would like to add organic germanium in my supplements and beta glucan but the latter is very expensive and hard to find in my country.I drink lots of water also..

I would also like to drink 1 tsp. of powdered charcoal right after my work but I read an article that it also flushes out the vitamins and minerals in your body. Is it appropriate to drink charcoal powder once a week? Im also eating a plate of seaweeds just once a week.

Do you think I overdid it doc?

In a paragraph about Vitamin C & Bio-flavonoids (copied below) - did you mean to say Vitamin C instead of Vitamin D. It's very confusing the way it's written. Thanks.

Vitamin C & Bio-flavonoids – Italian researchers in 1966 found that Vitamin D, in combination with vitamins A and the entire B Complex, helps remove radioactive isotopes such as strontium-85 and strontium-90 from the bones and the body. Vitamin D also helps protect against some common pollutants, including lead and cadmium, according to Airola in How to Get Well.

I am also a fan of Dr. Schecter's "Fighting Radiation" and I'm very disappointed to see that fermented foods and probiotics are so under-emphasized in this article. I'm looking for something to link and this article is not it.

You are absolutely correct, it should say "one-and-a-half times". Correction made. Thanks, Donna, for letting me know. :o)

Taking finely powdered charcoal has been found to be none-and-a-half times as effective as the tablets.

Should this say one-and-a-half times instead of "none"?

thank you for the great article!
