Things You Can Do NOW To Avoid Toxins and Poisons
Dr. Loretta Lanphier, ND, CN, HHP, CH
- Avoid pre-packaged
and processed foods - This means almost all foods in cans, bags, plastic
containers, boxes, etc. which amounts to over 70% of most grocery store's
products!
- Shop the outside
perimeter of your grocery store. That’s usually where all the health-giving,
oxygen rich foods are located. The dead, nutrition-void foods are in the middle!
Try to avoid all food that is genetically modified.
- Eat truly organic or
locally-grown foods. Also try to eat foods that
“in-season.”
- Consume only raw,
hormone-free, free-range and organic dairy. If using milk products raw and
organic goat’s milk is the most easily digested.
- Wash all fruits,
vegetables and meats in a solution of purified water and food-grade hydrogen
peroxide or in one gallon of purified water plus 20 drops of Oxy-SC.
Rinse thoroughly.
- Learn about organic
gardening/composting and start your own vegetable, fruit garden. Purchase the
book Square Foot
Gardening.
- Consume only healthy
fats: flaxseed oil, hempseed oil, coconut oil, tea oil, olive oil.
- Eat only Alaskan
salmon and halibut. Farm-raised fish are just as toxic as fish from most of our
waters. Cold-water fish is always a better choice.
- Use natural cleaning
products-like real soap, etc.
- Avoid DEET - use
Neem gels.
- Get all
silver/mercury fillings removed by a trained biological dentist.
- Wear organic cotton
clothing and use organic cotton sheets, towels, etc.
- Use low or no VOC
paints when painting the inside of your home.
- Avoid artificial air
fresheners, toxic candles, dryer sheets and fabric softeners. Essential oils
can be used for fresheners and placed on cotton cloths to use a dryer
sheets.
- Use natural or
oxygen-based soaps detergents for clothing.
- Practice correct
hand washing techniques. Warm purified water and soap for 30
seconds.
- If you must use
dry-cleaning, make sure that you hang the clothing outside or in the garage for
several hours before bringing into the home.
- Avoid MSG,
aspartame, Splenda, pop, margarine, trans-fats, hydrogenated oils.
- Avoid toothpastes
and shampoos with aluminum and sodium lauryl sulfate.
- Practice all-natural
oral hygiene. Breath
Fresh™ is a great all-natural ingredient mouth, breath and teeth
cleaner/refresher.
- Make your own
all-natural tooth powder: Thoroughly mix 3 parts baking soda
(the cleanser and sweetener) with one part salt (the abrasive). Add 1-2 tsp. of
very fine MSM powder. May also add Xylitol for taste. Mix well. Funnel the
compound into a short small-mouthed glass container. This formula has a
satisfying, different taste and leaves your mouth feeling very fresh and
soothed. If you'd like, add a few drops of peppermint, wintergreen or cinnamon
to the formula.
- Instead of flossing use an oral
irrigator. Add two drops of Oregasil™
to the water. Do not use oregano oil if you have bonding on your
teeth.
- Use hair products
that are safe and natural.
- Avoid deodorants
with aluminum.
- Use all-natural skin care
products and cosmetics. Remember that a chemical name means a chemical no
matter if the parenthesis say “from xyz plant.”
- Avoid baking powder
with aluminum.
- Avoid aluminum
cookware; use glass, pottery, stainless steel or cast iron.
- Avoid plastic
containers. Don’t buy products that are packaged in any type of plastic.
- Avoid microwaves.
They radiate your food and your home.
- Use glass
containers.
- If you suffer from
allergies, get a netti pot and practice using every day. Place 3-4 drops of Oxy-SC™ in
purified water to use as rinse. Oregasil™
is also great to take for allergies.
- Get a good water
system for your home. Our extensive research indicates that Wellness
Filters provide the most healthy water for the
body.
- Use ionic
air purification for your home—especially living areas, bedrooms and
kitchen.
- Use electro-magnetic
frequency removers for cell phones and home.
- Many people spend
8-10 hours daily in an office building. Read my article: Setting
Up Your Office for Health.
- Get plenty of safe
sunshine. Before 10:00 AM and after 3:00 PM. At least 30 minutes on at least
40% of your body every day.
- Go to bed before
10:00 PM every night. Sleep in a dark, cool room. The body does the most
healing and repair work between the hours of 10:00 PM and 2:00
AM.
- Drink half of your
body weight in ounces of purified water every day.
- Work on negative and
toxic emotions. Learn the Emotional Freedom Technique, read up-lifting books,
listen to soothing music, learn to forgive, laugh and to let go of
anger.
- Walk or use a
rebounder for 30 minutes every day.
- Use a FIR sauna 1-2
times every week.
- Get a chiropractic
adjustment 1-2 times monthly.
- MOST IMPORTANT: PRACTICE TOTAL BODY
CLEANSING - Perform a liver/gallbladder/digestive
tract/parasite cleanse 2-4 times yearly in order to keep unavoidable toxins
moving out of the body.
