According to the calendar, Fall has officially arrived and many across the US are already experiencing the vast color changes of leaves, crisp morning air and the delicious smells and activity of Fall Festivals. Fall is a preparatory season in that the late summer and early fall harvests are coming in and the farmer’s markets are full to the brim with colorful and healthy produce. Fall is also the time that we begin to prepare our homes, gardens and lawn for the coming winter. We also begin to prepare our wardrobe with warm clothes such as colorful sweaters and warm coats.
Fall should also be a preparatory time for us to prepare our body in the form of cleansing the liver/gallbladder/digestive tract along with full parasite cleansing. This prepares and cleans the digestive tract where 70 to 80% of our immune system resides for winter and the on-slaught of illness that seems to accompany this season of over-eating and undue stress. I encourage you to preform these cleanses beginning now and to involve your whole family. Many have written to tell us that when total body cleansing is practiced, they do not seem to get sick as often and the latest virus or bug usually passes them by or if they should succomb, the symptoms are very mild and the duration very short. Flu season is fast approaching and instead of running out for the latest vaccine or stocking up on over-the-counter meds that only address symptoms, perform a total body cleanse, strive to eat healthy, take a 30 minute walk every day and get some sun and fresh air every day. You may be pleasantly surprised to find that you make it through the “winter holiday illness season” a healthy and feeling your best ever!

Many Health Benefits of Pineapple: 1. Helps digestion. Bromelain in pineapple helps break down protein, which is why some people use pineapple juice to tenderize meat; 2. Good source of nutrients. It contains a lot of manganese and vitamins C and B1; 3. Great for your gastrointestinal tract. Bromelain can dilute the mucus in your gastrointestinal tract for a good cleanup. Think of it like cleaning the sewer by first dissolving the grimes stuck to the walls; then it's easier to flush everything away; 4. Ease diarrhea. Intake of fresh pineapple reduces intestinal fluid secretion, which can reduce excretion of your nutrients and water during diarrhea; 5. Accelerate wound healing. Studies have shown that eating fresh pineapple can speed up healing of open wounds; 6. Complement tumor therapy. Studies with bromelain have shown its efficacy to hinder spreading of disease within the body. So some scientists are suggesting to use it as an complementary agent when the body's immune system is compromised, for example in radiation therapy.
GENETICALLY ENGINEERED SUGAR TO HIT STORES IN 2008 - American Crystal, a large Wyoming-based sugar company, who ironically have launched an "organic" line of their sugar, and several other leading U.S. sugar providers have announced they will be sourcing their sugar from genetically engineered (GE) sugar beets beginning this year and arriving in stores in 2008.

HOW THE FOOD INDUSTRY BRAINWASHES AMERICANS - This five part YouTube series with now deceased TV newscaster Peter Jennings explores how the food industry spends billions of dollars to sabotage your health. Jennings also takes a critical look at our government's agricultural subsidy programs, and the consequences of misguided government policies on our diet and health. For example, sugar and fat receive 20 times more government farming subsidies than fruits and vegetables. The food industry spends $34 billion per year marketing their products, $12 billion of which is spent marketing unhealthy foods to children. Learn how misleading advertising, food additives, and a corrupt subsidy system have undermined public health.
The annual rates of serious adverse reactions and deaths from a prescribed drug have almost tripled since 1998. Just 51 drugs – including painkillers and immune system-modifying agents – were responsible for the vast majority of reactions, new figures reveal. In 2005 – the most recent year when figures have been made available - 15,107 people in America died as the result of taking a prescription drug, while 89,842 people suffered a serious adverse reaction, which resulted in disability, hospital care or a birth defect. These reactions – all reported to America’s drug regulator, the Food and Drug Administration – represent an increase of 2.7 times on figures produced in 1998. Overall, the FDA received reports of 467,809 deaths and serious adverse reactions between 1998 and 2005. (Source: Archives of Internal Medicine, 2007; 167: 1752-9).
Mobile phones may cause a cancer explosion in the years ahead, just as smoking was finally linked to lung cancer, experts have admitted this week. A UK health research group has discovered an increase of brain and acoustic neuroma (ear) cancers, and the figures are almost “statistically significant”, which means the figures are nearly high enough to suggest a definite link. The group, the UK Mobile Telecommunications and Health Research Programme (MTHRP), said it was vital to carry out more research, otherwise people were in danger of falling into the same trap when cigarettes were not initially linked to lung cancer.
Fermented vegetables such as sauerkraut, pickled carrots, beets, or cucumbers are some of the most health-giving foods on the planet. Raw cultured (or fermented) vegetables provide the body with beneficial microorganisms known as probiotics and an abundance of enzymes. They are also a rich source of many vitamins, including vitamin C, and are very easy to digest. Sauerkraut (fermented cabbage) contains nearly four times the cancer-fighting nutrients as unfermented cabbage and is the primary source of vegetable nutrition in many countries where the winters are cold. –Jordan Rubin
Children are irritating and injuring their brains with commonly consumed garbage, that is the meaning of a study recently published in the Lancet. One culprit is sodium benzoate, a preservative used in soda and other beverages. Another culprit is artificial food coloring. It is interesting to note that when the FDA was given some real regulatory power in 1939 the first thing they did was allow artificial food coloring into the food supply. These chemical additives are derived from coal tar and made by the German drug companies like Bayer and BASF. In the first year 39 million tons of these poisons were used in our food, a number which has grown ever since. –Byron Richards
According to Dr. Ralph Moss the next time you read a news story about how cancer is decreasingly a problem in the US, think again. California officials have revealed that the US Veterans Administration (VA), which treats many American veterans, has been deliberately withholding cancer incidence data from state cancer registries across the country. This has resulted in up to 70,000 newly diagnosed cancer cases - about 5 percent of the national total - going unrecorded in the past few years!
Phoenix Biotech manager Dennis Knocke reported today (09.19.07) that noted MD Anderson researcher Doctor Robert Newman, the lead research scientist in a number of important studies on oleander and oleander compounds, has recently finished a new study due to be published soon in peer reviewed journal which indicates that oleander induces and increases autophagy, a natural body defensive mechanism against cancer which encapsulates tumors and cancer cells. The new study appears to provide an important new piece of evidence in understanding why oleander has proven to be successful against many forms of cancer.
According to breaking news from Mike Adams (www.newstarget.com), The White House is taking steps to kill the FDA reform legislation recently passed in the House of Representatives that would require drug companies to publicly post clinical trial results so that doctors, researchers and the public could have access to them. According to a report in Inside Health Policy, the White House sent congressional staff an "unofficial statement of administration policy" that opposes this provision in the House bill. If this provision is blocked it would allow drug companies to continue to conduct their clinical trials in secret, hiding results from the public and cherry picking only those clinical trials they wish for the public to see. Consumers Union, the publisher of Consumer Reports, issued a press release warning about this new White House action. Bill Vaughn, a senior health policy with Consumers Union, stated in the press release, "At a time when parents can't even trust their kids' toys to be safe, it doesn't make sense the White House would oppose legislation to help make prescription drugs safer."
"What we ponder and what we think about sets the course of our life. Any day we wish; we can discipline ourselves to change it all. Any day we wish, we can open the book that will open our mind to new knowledge. Any day we wish, we can start a new activity. Any day we wish, we can start the process of life change. We can do it immediately, or next week, or next month, or next year. We can also do nothing. We can pretend rather than perform. And if the idea of having to change ourselves makes us uncomfortable, we can remain as we are. We can choose rest over labor, entertainment over education, delusion over truth, and doubt over confidence. The choices are ours to make. But while we curse the effect, we continue to nourish the cause. As Shakespeare uniquely observed, 'The fault is not in the stars, but in ourselves.' We created our circumstances by our past choices. We have both the ability and the responsibility to make better choices beginning today." –Jim Rohn
