Creating Healthy Water

Naturally, we all want to be sure that common contaminants such as dirt, rust, sediment, chlorine and other chemicals routinely linked to increased risks of disease and certain types of cancer have been effectively removed. The S-III has been created with just this thought in mind and incorporates a multi-stage carbon protection technology with two separate filtration removal cartridges.

Primary Chemical Removal

The first stage is a scientifically tested mixture of both activated and organic coconut carbon combined in a 5-micron replaceable cartridge. This ultra-efficient cartridge helps remove to typically non-detectable levels;

Solution - Dual Carbon Protection

We designed a 2nd carbon cartridge into the S-III with one objective in mind - to offer you the highest level of chemical and bacterial protection available.

A 1-Micron - ABSOLUTE carbon stage completes our filtration mission by removing >99.99% of bacteria, cysts, Giardia and Cryptoosporidium. Better still, this final stage adsorbs any remaining chlorine or other chemicals that over time might overwhelm the 1st stage.

Dual stage carbon protection means you and your family will be drinking healthy water ALL THE TIME.

However, we want to give you more than just good water, we want to create the best water possible. Water that tastes as if it just came directly from the healthiest mountain spring on earth.

The cartridge media contains:

• Taichoseki is a proprietary media used in all Wellness Filters¨. On December 15, 1990, the Kitazato Medical School of Public Health in Tokyo, having found that it greatly inhibits the growth of fungus and bacteria, approved Taichoseki mineral stone as a "natural disinfectant". The Medical School's studies found that water treated by Taichoseki mineral stone slows down and even stops the growth of fungus and bacteria, including staphylococcus aureus, bacillus subtilis, aspergillus niger, myrothecium verrucaria, trichophyton interdigitale, and candida albicans. This mineral also removes iron, cadmium, and many harmful substances in tap water.
• Bakuhanseki is a proprietary media used in all Wellness Filters¨. On October 15, 1995, the Japanese Government's Ministry of Health, Drug Approval Division, gave their approval of the bakuhanseki stone as an approved medicine. The stone is approved for medical purposes in powdered form (oral or skin application), dissolved in water, and for use in water filters for bathing and drinking. The Ministry of Health uses Wellness Filter¨ water in their hospitals and in many of their approved health bathing spas. (Note: Because the Bakuhanseki mineral stone is designated as a medicine, treatments in health spas are covered by Japanese Government medical plans.) The Bakuhan mineral adjusts the water to a stable alkaline pH, increases dissolved oxygen, removes harmful substances and enhances the taste of the water. It will also remove lead, mercury, and chromium from tap water. It imparts trace Angstrom size minerals (silica, potassium, and magnesium).
• SPG Sand - Obtained from volcanic rocks, the surface area of this material is 6.16 sq. meters per gram and provides 0.5-micron level filtration. Produces high efficiency filtration, removes parasites and adsorbs trace heavy metals, and yields very pure water.
• Granulated Activated Carbon - Made from highest quality coconut shell carbon. Removes chlorine, chlorinated hydrocarbons, organics, volatiles, MTBE, tastes and odors.
• Magnet & Magnetite Stone - High flux density (greater than 4,500 gauss) magnetic stone and magnets create magnetic field in filter for magnetic resonance activation of the water. Lowers surface tension, increases solubility and increases absorptivity.
• Far-Infrared Ceramic - Proprietary ceramic media made from far infrared emitting stone at 2,200¡F. Produces hydroxyl ions and hydrogen ions, which neutralize free radicals. Believed to aid the body in fighting immune disorders, diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.

Purification The first step in recreating a healthy spring like water is to remove the bacteria, metals and other harmful contaminants that have no place being there in the first place. Wellness successfully completes this task with a variety of purification media designed to begin improving your water from the very first drop. However, unlike some other systems, Wellness retains all the beneficial, acid buffering minerals like magnesium, calcium and potassium. These minerals are always found in natural spring waters and they should always be present in healthy water too. SPG Silica SPG Silica is proprietary volcanic sand which acts as the primary filtration medium. SPG carries micron ratings varying from 0.5 microns to 3 microns. In the Wellness process SPG plays a dual role as both a protective barrier and as an active agent in the Wellness enhancement process. SPG is designed to; Guard against asbestos, dirt, rust and sediment Prevent contamination from bacteria and cysts including E.Coli, Cryptosporidium and Giardia Enhance water purity, taste and energetic capacity Soluble silica is one of the key minerals found in some of the great springs including those of the Hunza valley. (see Enhancement for more) KDF 55 & 85 KDF¨ is a high-purity, granulated copper and zinc-based alloy that treats water based on the principle of REDOX (Oxidation-Reduction). KDF's unique combination of copper and zinc creates an electro-chemical reaction in which electrons are transferred between molecules, and new elements are created. Some harmful contaminants are changed into harmless components. Free chlorine, for instance, is changed into benign, water-soluble chloride. Similarly, some heavy metals such as copper, lead, mercury and others, react and are captured by the carbon or silica. KDF is capable of enhancing filtration performance by; Extending carbon life Reducing maintenance Controlling or eliminated micro-organisms Removing or reducing many types of other chemical and heavy metal contaminants KDF's REDOX activity creates an environment that's deadly to some micro-organisms and interferes with the ability of others function. Organic Coconut and Activated Carbon Carbon is the oldest filtration method known being recorded in both ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia where it was used to remove basic contaminants, odours and improve taste. In modern times carbon is the perfect material for removing chlorine and other organic chemical compounds. Carbon comes in many different grades according to the contaminant needing to be removed. Wellness uses both Organic Coconut and Activated carbon to protect you against a wide range of chemicals, often to non-detectable levels, encountered in today's water supplies. Easy Installation - No Plumbing Required

The Wellness Kitchen S III can be easily installed without any plumbing assistance in under 3 minutes with a quick-fit connector supplied.

Unlike many others, a Wellness filter is designed to be both attractive and functional. Over 5 feet of hose runs from the filter to the quick fit connector giving you the space and flexibility you need to know that the Wellness Filter will be a useful low-profile addition to your kitchen.

The new cartridge model allows you to replace the unique Organic Coconut Carbon which filters the water before and after the permanent volcanic media layers. The carbon cartridges are certified to reduce chlorine, chloramines, chlorinated hydro-carbons, trihalomethanes, pesticides, foreign tastes and odors to non-detectable levels for a safer, healthier water - and will last 12 months* depending on your usage. An LED display tells you exactly how much life is left in your cartridges, making it easy to know when they need replacing.

Kitchen S III Under-sink

The Wellness Kitchen S III is also available as an under-sink unit. You can purchase the Wellness Kitchen S III under-sink model initially or later convert your existing Kitchen S III to an under-sink model at any time by purchasing the conversion kit. Installation requires a certified plumber and includes diverting water from an under-sink pipe and into a separate auxiliary faucet.

Kitchen S III Replacement Cartridges

The Wellness Kitchen S III comes with two carbon block cartridges and one enhancement cartridge. Once every year or 1,000 gallons, the two carbon block cartridges must be replaced. The digital flow-meter included with the unit will inform customers when the remaining days or gallons on the cartridges are low by a series of beeps.
