Detoxification Support Complex...With Glutathione

All the Benefits of a 'Coffee Enema' and a Glutathione I.V. in Organic Suppository Form!

We live in a toxic world, but you don't have to live in a toxic body.

Xeneplex Detoxification Support Complex is a new product from the makers of Medicardium chelation suppositories that provides state-of-the-art supplementation to support detoxification protocols. Xeneplex assists in the detoxification process by supplying free glutathione*. Glutathione is the body's main detoxifier and is singularly responsible for dealing with these poisons. Oral administration of glutatione doesn't work well, as the digestive system breaks glutathione down into it's amino acid building blocks. But, Xeneplex Detoxification Support Complex with glutathione overcomes this problem. Organic coffee is also added to stimulate the production of glutathione-s-transferase, the enzyme that is required to attach toxins to the glutathione molecule.

While glutathione (when assisted by glutathione-s-transferase) removes toxic metals like mercury, lead and aluminum from the body, it is far more valuable in it's ability to remove toxic chemicals. Xeneplex also includes Magesium Di-Potassium EDTA to complete the detoxification solution.

Every day we are exposed to hundreds of toxic chemicals or “xenobiotics” such as solvents, petrochemicals, toxic metals, pesticides, prescription medications, alcoholic beverages and more. Pre-industrial men and women had very little to worry about in terms of toxic exposure. Today we are exposed to smoke from coal factories, transportation and the production of electricity; chemicals from artificial colors and flavors, preservatives and toxic sugar substitutes; molds and bacteria from grains, nuts, seeds, and meats from cows, poultry and fish, all of which have been exposed to these molds and bacteria in their feed; plus, heavy metal exposure from our food and water.

Glutathione is the body's main detoxifier and is singularly responsible for dealing with these poisons. However, over time, the human body has become increasingly bombarded with these “xenobiotics” and has been unable to keep up with the load. The body does have the means to rid itself of these poisons and chemicals, but, due to the large amounts of toxins to which it is exposed, may need extra support to increase its production of glutathione and other important detoxifying enzymes.

Many centuries ago, man understood the benefits of enemas and their effects on the body's overall wellbeing and ability to aid in detoxification. The highly vascular intestines provide a perfect way for beneficial substances to be absorbed into the bloodstream without being broken down by the stomach's acids or deactivated by the enzymes in the liver. The intestines also allow you to have the benefits of certain substances without experiencing some unwanted side effects. An example of one such substance is coffee. Coffee contains several components which aid in the detoxification of the body by stimulating the body's production of glutathione S-transferase.

Unfortunately, when drinking coffee, it may have a strong stimulant effect and cause insomnia, and/or other unwanted side effects. However, when coffee is given rectally, through the use of enemas, it has been found to be a relaxant, a powerful detoxifier, a pain reliever, and a general rejuvenator to the body. Through the use of coffee in an enema, it is able to do all of these things without the sometimes unpleasant side effects.

Coffee has also been found to stimulate greater activity of the key enzyme system glutatathione S-transferase, whichis responsible for neutralizing free radicals and harmful chemicals now commonly implicated in the initiation of cancer. The glutathione S-transferase enzyme is responsible for attaching the glutathione to the toxins in our bodies so that they can be removed. Without the combination of both of these compounds, the glutathione detoxification pathway is unable to adequately work.

A coffee enema is not the most convenient way to help increase the body's ability to detoxify itself, and oral administration of glutathione doesn't work because the digestive system breaks glutathione down into its amino acid building blocks. Therefore, suppositories have been created to bring the benefits of a coffee enema to the comfort of your own home. Xeneplex suppositories contain glutathione to detoxify the body, as well as organic coffee, which is used to stimulate the production of glutathione-s-transferase, the enzyme that is required to attach these toxins to the glutathione molecule. Xeneplex comes in the form of a suppository and supports increased glutathione S-transferase activity in the liver. It also helps support the body's ability to detoxify the harmful chemicals it is exposed to on a daily basis. These enzymes are captured wholly in this suppository form, as they are not broken down, but absorbed directly into the bloodstream. With the use of Xeneplex, you can literally supercharge your body's detoxification system.

Did You Know?

PECTICIDES / HEBICIDES
Approximately 1 billion pounds of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides are applied each year in the United States, with usage doubling every 10 years. Less than 1% of these toxins applied ever find their way to the target pest. The rest goes into our food, water, air and soil. While organic food is better, it still as up to 50% the pesticide residue found on commercial food. Pesticides are carcinogens, mutagens and neurotoxins and can damage the immune system and the endocrine system. Glutathione can help detoxify pesticides.

PLASTICS
One other extremely common product, which is used by everyone on a daily basis, is plastic. Plastic contains a chemical compound called phthalate (tha-late), which is used to make the plastic more flexible. The phthalates do not bind to the materials to which they are added and therefore leach into the substance contained in the plastic or into our bodies through inhalation or absorption. Phthalates can be found in Styrofoam cups, Ziploc bags, Tupperware containers, plastic wrapped foods, and of course, water bottles. They are also found in clothing, toys, cosmetics, perfumes, nail polishes, hairsprays, skin creams, mosquito repellants, toothbrushes, car interiors, hoses, paints, vinyl, sealants and the list goes on. Phthalate toxicity may cause organ damage, immune suppression, endocrine disruption, and cancer. Phthalates are the number one toxin in the body. An average human will eat, drink or inhale over 18 teaspoons of phthalates in his lifetime. In order to ‘get the plastic out, or remove phthalates from our bodies, we need to use our innate glutathione detoxification system.

CAR EXHAUST / CIGARETTE SMOKE
There are nearly 600 million vehicles on the world’s roads poisoning our atmosphere. In some cities like Los Angeles and Mexico City, daily ‘smog’ reports are given in the newspapers and radio stations letting people know how safe it is to go outside and breathe the air. Comparing photographs of the atmosphere over the last 20 years, meteorologists have been able to document a significant toxic darkening of our skies. A thick cloud of poisonous air has settled over the planet, and while it is worse in some areas than others, the atmospheric changes are evident from pole to pole. Add to this the fact that some of us breathe smoke directly into our lungs with cigarettes, and the problem is only compounded. Glutathione detoxifies these poisons.

ALCOHOL
While moderate alcohol consumption has some benefits, alcohol also has a dark side. In the process of metabolizing alcohol, the liver turns it into formaldehyde. This is the same toxic fluid that is used in high school biology classes to preserve frogs and fetal pigs for dissection and what is currently used to embalm people. Formaldehyde is extremely toxic to the body and the faster you detoxify it, the better. Glutathione detoxifies alcohol and formaldehyde.

BACTERIA / FUNGAL TOXINS
Chronic bacterial and fungal infections in our intestines release their poisonous metabolic end products directly into our bloodstream. These toxins are carcinogenic and can also cause mood and memory disorders. Further exposure to mold toxins in our food supply and breathing air from mold infested buildings makes for additional exposure. Glutathione detoxifies these poisons.

PHARMACEUTICALS
Open any magazine and look at an ad for any pharmaceutical product. There on the back of the page is another page filled with fine print listing it's side effects. Considering that these side effects are often under-reported and you can begin to see the how even a single pharmaceutical, let alone a cocktail of them can damage the body over time. If you need to take pharmaceuticals, then consider using glutathione to remove their often toxic metabolic end products from your body.

TOXIC METALS
While glutathione (when assisted by glutathione-s-transferase) removes toxic metals like mercury, lead and aluminum from the body, it is far more valuable in it's ability to remove toxic chemicals. Consider using Medicardium EDTA to remove toxic metals. In this way, the glutathione is then freed to focus on removing toxic chemicals. Add the two products together for a complete detoxification solution.

The Need For Detoxification
By: Donal Carter, Ph.D

This presentation will discuss the kinds of toxins that humans have been exposed to both historically and currently, the problems they cause. At the end of this presentation, we will examine a new product designed to support the body in the removal of these toxins.

Pre-industrial man had very little to worry about in terms of toxic exposure. The kinds of toxins he or she might encounter were limited to the smoke from his cook fire, the occasional poisonous plants and mushrooms that found their way into his soup pot and the toxins found on moldy foods.

The name of the detoxification system that handles these types of poisons is called the glutathione conjugation pathway and for pre-industrial man, this was all that he needed.

Modern man has these same types of toxins to deal with, but both the manner in which he is exposed to them, as well as the amounts he is exposed to have changed.

Let's look first at smoke. Our troubles began in the 1800's with the widespread use of coal as an energy source for homes, factories, transportation and the production of electricity. Burned coal created both toxic smoke as well as large amounts of airborne mercury.

In London, infamous 'black fogs' from burning coal would last for days, darkening both the faces of the buildings and lungs of its in habitants.

Many inhabitants of London and other newly industrialized cities became sick and died. In time, legislation was passed putting coal burning plants farther away from residential sectors but this was only a short-term solution. There is only one planetary atmosphere and as more and more countries became industrialized, the smoke from burning coal became a worldwide problem.

Add to this the exhaust expelled from the now nearly 600 million vehicles on the world's roads and you can see that the 'smoke problem' has only increased. In some cities like Los Angeles and Mexico City, daily 'smog' reports are given in the newspapers and radio stations letting people know how safe it is to go outside and breathe the air. Comparing photos of the atmosphere over the last 20 years, meteorologists have been able to document a significant darkening of our skies. A thick cloud of toxic air has settled over the planet, and while it is worse in some areas than others, the atmospheric changes are evident from pole to pole.

Our glutathione system was sufficient to detoxify the smoke of a small cook fire, but it is overwhelmed by the sheer mass of airborne toxins it must currently deal with, and so these air borne toxins begin accumulating in our bodies.

Let's move on to the next type of toxin, chemicals. The only chemicals pre-industrial man was exposed to would be found in the plants he would eat. Plants have various defenses against being eaten. Some plants like cactus develop sharp spines as deterrence, others manufacture chemicals that make those who ingest them sick. Cooking would often destroy or dilute these poisons to levels that were no longer harmful, but still, we would occasionally need the glutathione system to deal with them from time to time.

Today, we are exposed to thousands of chemicals on a daily basis. Each year an estimated 400 million tons of the six to seven million known chemicals are produced for use in industry. Artificial colors and flavors, preservatives, toxic sugar substitutes and many other chemicals go directly into our food and drinks. The rest of these chemicals eventually find their way into the air and groundwater and then into our bodies.

Again, our glutathione system is overwhelmed, and as a result, our bodies begin accumulating toxic chemicals.

The last group of toxin that we will discuss are those that come from bacteria and molds. It may seem odd that we are still dealing with bacteria and molds in the 21st century. After all, refrigeration keeps food from spoiling, so where would we find ourselves exposed to them? Lets look at molds first. There are 3 main sources of mold exposure. First, understand that all antibiotics are made from molds. This means that every time a person takes antibiotics, they are also taking in toxic molds that must be removed by the glutathione system. It's not the antibiotics that we take for the occasional infection that are the main source of these molds however, but the very food that we eat. While agriculture standards and inspections make eating mold grains unlikely in modern days, this is not the case for livestock. Pigs, cows, chickens and turkeys are not only regularly fed moldy grain, but they are also continually on antibiotics themselves to keep them from developing infections. These mold toxins both in their feed and in their medications build up in their tissues and then go into our bodies when we eat them. What's that you say, you eat fish, well, unless you catch your own fish, all farmed fish are literally swimming in antibiotics to keep them from getting infections. Add all this to the toxic molds growing in the walls and ventilation systems of most houses and office building and you can see that we actually have a greater exposure to molds now that we did two thousand years ago. The result is that these mold toxins begin accumulating in our bodies as well.

Better hygiene has removed most of our bacterial exposure with one exception, and that is the bacteria we carry with our own bodies.

It may be surprising for you to learn that there are more bacterial cells living inside your gut than there are cells in your own body. Billions of bacteria live in our mouths, on our skin, but especially in our gut. Now if you've never taken antibiotics and were breast fed as child, then it is likely that your gut is filled with healthy, life giving bacteria that help you digest your food and produce useful things like vitamin K. On the other hand, if you have taken antibiotics, then you've killed off some of your good bacteria and bad bacteria may be growing in their place. These bad bacteria can secrete toxic waste products that can cause thousands of problems including but not limited to infertility, cancer, fatigue and insomnia.

Thus, our glutathione detoxification pathway can be overwhelmed by both the fungal and bacterial toxins that can accumulate in our bodies. So, all in all, while pre-industrial man had more primitive living conditions, he had in fact a much smaller exposure to toxins than we have today.

What we need to do is find a way to support our belabored glutathione detoxification pathway so it can both remove all our accumulated toxins as well as protect us from further exposure.

There are two challenges associated with the increasing glutathione detoxification pathway in our bodies.

The first challenge relates to absorption. Glutathione is a protein, which is made up of the 3 amino acids cysteine, glutamic acid and Glycine.

As far as the body is concerned, any glutathione you take by mouth is just another piece of protein to be digested. Thus, while you can buy an oral glutathione product, all your body will get out of it will be the amino acids it will be broken down into by the digestive process. This is precisely why any glutathione given in a hospital emergency room for poisonings is given intravenously.

Fortunately, there is another option. Glutathione can also be given by suppository. Since there are no digestive enzymes or acids in the colon to break the glutathione down into it's individual amino acids, rectally administered glutathione enters the body intact. Unlike intravenous glutathione, which is invasive, time consuming, and requires a medical professional to administer, suppository glutathione can be done at home by anyone.

Okay, that takes care of absorption. The second challenge is that glutathione doesn't work alone. There is an enzyme in the body called Glutathione S Reductase whose job it is to attach glutathione to the various toxins in the body.

Without this enzyme, the glutathione can't attach to the toxin in question and thus can't remove it from the body.

So, it's not enough to just increase glutathione, we also have to increase the glutathione S Transferase enzyme at the same time. One of the best ways to increase this enzyme is with coffee.

Here's the catch. If you want to use coffee to keep you awake, then drink it, but if you want it to help you detoxify your body by increasing this glutathione S Transferase enzyme, you must take it rectally. Drinking coffee doesn't have the same effect. In fact, coffee taken rectally actually has relaxing rather than stimulating effect. It is strange that the same ingredient should have such different effects depending on its method of administration, but facts remain. If you want to stay away on a long cross-country drive, drink your coffee. If you want to detoxify your body, then take it rectally.

The first recorded application of rectally administered coffee was in a German Army hospital in World War I where its healing effects were discovered quite by chance.

Patients are often given enemas so as to have the intestines empty during surgery, and in one case, a German nurse, unable to find any other warm liquid to use, gave enemas to some soldiers with coffee instead of water.

The patients who received the improvised coffee enemas reported an immediate decrease in pain. Later, these same patients demonstrated faster recoveries from their wounds and surgeries than their compatriots who received the standard warm water enemas.

The coffee enema gained popularity with surgeons and medical clinics around the world as a method of both cleansing the liver and rejuvenating the body.

In 1917 the coffee enema was added to the prestigious Merck Manual, the compendium of standard medical procedures. By the 1930's, Cancer Pioneer Max Gerson introduced it as one of the main pillars in his cancer therapy.

Today, coffee enemas are administered in alternative cancer clinics around the world both as a means of detoxification as well as a general rejuvenator to the body. While many of the younger doctors have not heard of the benefits of coffee enemas, favoring drugs instead of natural remedies, many of the older doctors swear by it.

Fortunately, we don't have to take an enema to get this special benefit of coffee. Similar to Glutathione, coffee can also be administered as a suppository.

To this end, we have created Xeneplex suppositories. Xeneplex suppositories contain both glutathione as well as organic coffee extract thus raising both glutathione and its enzyme cofactor, glutathione s transferase at the same time.

So the next time you get caught driving behind a diesel truck belching out a black cloud of smoke, or find some indecipherable chemical listed in the of your favorite food, or just feel a little run down, do your self a favor and detoxify. Your body will thank you for it and you'll notice the difference. We live in a toxic world, but you don't have to live in a toxic body.
