The Difference between Humic and Fulvic Acids

Humic and Fulvic acids are not one part of the same. Rather humic and fulvic acids were preserved together in the deposits from which we currently extract them.

Typically what is sold as humic acid is a molecular mineral bearing liquid containing a combination of three or more acid chains according to the extraction process used. It is a black liquid soluble at a ph above 7 (if you find it as a liquid below 7 it has been chemically tampered with). Humic acid is commonly believed to be the product of ancient plant and microbial decay coupled with enzymatic digestion.

Fulvic acid is a pale yellow to gold liquid (red or amber colored liquids are high in humic acid [not more fulvic]). Fulvic acid normally has a minute amount of Humic, ulmic and humun acids which after months of settling these acids appear as a residue in the bottom of a container. It will readily return into suspension when shaken. Fulvic is completely plant manufactured and carries only plant derived minerals.

NOTE: It is important to ascertain the charge of the product you are using, if the Humic or Fulvic acid was extracted into a metal tank (even stainless) or handled with metal equipment it is likely the negative charge (which is essential to the product working) is negated. The liquid then either becomes positively charged or it will hold no measurable charge. We call these dead acids as they will not work without a negative ionic charge.

1. What is ZeoMAX FA™?

Using the purest form of 100% organic,natural zeolite (clinoptilolite), ZeoMAX FA has been naturally bound to bio-active organic fulvic acid and a hi-tech purified, structured water. Our manufacturer has succeeded in an advanced technology that allows bio-available fulvic acid to digest and absorb the zeolite molecule directly into the fulvic acid structure.

Using this advanced technology we are able to place natural zeolite into a liquid solution without the use of toxic chemicals or excipients. The zeolite used in our ZeoMAX FA™ has been naturally bonded to fulvic acid (an organic carrier) which creates a special component of the fulvic acid molecule. 2. What exactly is zeolite?

Zeolites are actually minerals that have a micro-porous structure. The term was originally coined in the 18th century by a Swedish mineralogist named Axel Fredrik Cronstedt who discovered, upon rapidly heating a natural mineral, that the stones began to dance about as the water evaporated. Using the Greek words which mean "stone that boils," he called this material zeolite.

There are more than 150 zeolite types which have been synthesized and 48 naturally occurring zeolites are known.

The zeolite molecule, itself, has a unique structrue and because of this along with the fact that it is one of the few negatively charged minerals in nature, zeolite acts exactly like a magnet drawing positively charged toxins and  then trapping these toxins within its micropourous structure. This unique structure exhibits cage-like channels which are the correct size in allowing tiny molecules (roughly between 3 and 10 angstroms) to penetrate. When the toxin is pulled into this cage-like channel of zeolite, it is then carried out of the cell which then allows elimination by the body.

3. Why use zeolite with fulvic acid instead of using zeolite alone?

Because of the complexitiy of the zeolite molecule, it is not readily absorbed by the cells or the intestines. When natural zeolite is chemically dissolved in a simple water solution, we have found that the benefit to the body is not as ideal as it is when combined with an all natural, bio-active intracellular carrier such as fulvic acid. It is well known that fulvic acid has the ability to transport nutrients directly into the cell while enhancing absorption of any nutrient taken with them. Some manufacturers are now using fulvic acid in their organic multi-vitmain/mineral supplements in order to provide more bio-available nutrients to the body.

4. Is zeolite completely safe?

Yes. Natural zeolites are inert, non-toxic minerals which are federally classified as GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe).  6. What is Fulvic Acid? Why is it so important?

Fulvic Acid is the by-product of nature's humification process--the ultimate breakdown and recycling of once-living plant matter. Fulvic Acid contains the phytochemical protective (anti-aging / antioxidant) nutrients and substances from original living organic plant matter. Thus, Fulvic Acid has been highly concentrated, refined, transformed, and enhanced over hundreds of years by the actions of innumerable and microscopic organically complexed plants. 7. What is hi-tech purified water?

Water should be considerd the most important aspect of all body functions.  All living organisms are composed largely of water. Close to 70 - 90 percent of all organic matter is water. The chemical reactions in all plants and animals that support life take place in a water medium. Water not only provides the medium to make these life sustaining reactions possible, but water itself is often an important reactant or product of these reactions. In short, the chemistry of life is water chemistry.

Hydration or water availability to cells and tissues is very important for increasing the overall function and health of cells. Research indicates that babies typically have a higher level of intracellular water than aging adults. Szent-Gyorgyi in the “Pathology of Water" made the association that muscle tissue, cartilage, connective tissue including skin, “aged” or became less pliable with time due to the lack of water provided to cells and tissues. Much of his early research was with muscle tissue and he realized that the aging process was substantially due to cellular and tissue effects of dehydration (Szent-Gyorgyi 1971). Lack of intracellular water or dehydration is predicted today to be part of the “aging” process. It stands to reason that water and the many roles it plays generally and specifically for all parts of the body will enhance many biochemical and physiological functions important to overall health when it is properly available to cells and tissues.
